A school lunch break turned into a crime scene after pupils from MC Weiler to Alexander made a grisly discovery of what looked like a human body under a mobile classroom on school premises .

Meanwhile, the latest crime statistics for the fourth quarter of 2021/22 are grim, having been released on Friday. Murders, sexual assaults and kidnappings are all on the rise – and things aren’t looking great in South Africa’s hijacking hotspots either.

In Gauteng, several police officers attached to Pretoria Central Station who allegedly attacked foreign nationals were arrested by Hawks and other law enforcement on June 1.

The two school buses that crashed Monday morning in Christiana, in the north-west, carrying pupils to school, were found to be inoperable.

The North West MEC for Community Safety and Transport Management has called for a full investigation into the accident earlier this week involving two buses carrying learners.

Learners make the GRUESOME discovery of a corpse on the school premises

A school lunch break turned into a crime scene after pupils from MC Weiler to Alexander made a grisly discovery of what looked like a human body under a mobile classroom on school premises .

The discovery was made on Thursday June 2, 2022. The Gauteng Department of Education confirmed the findings on Friday.

“Pupils at MC Weiler Elementary School in Alexandra discovered what is believed to be a human body under a mobile classroom on school premises on Thursday June 2, 2022.”

South Africa has a NEW list of hacking hotspots – here are the top 20…

The latest crime statistics for the fourth quarter of 2021/22 are grim, having been released on Friday. Murders, sexual assaults and kidnappings are all on the rise – and things aren’t looking great in South Africa’s hijacking hotspots either.

If you are in Gauteng you will need to exercise extreme caution as a motorist. A total of 16 diversion hotspots among the top 20 are based in the province, including the most prolific district.

East Mamelodi climbed to the top of the chart, after hijacking incidents nearly TRILED on the same quarter in 2021. Meanwhile, three regions in the Western Cape are among the top five hotspots.

Crime stats: Gauteng leads surge in South Africa kidnapping cases

A total of 3,306 kidnapping cases were opened with the police in the first 3 months of 2022. This was revealed by the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, when he presented the crime statistics to Pretoria Friday.

Gauteng is the province with the most reported kidnapping cases.

During the briefing, Cele said that the first three months of 2022 had unfortunately been marked by more murders, more sexual violence and more assaults, compared to the same period of the previous year.

‘Rotten’ Pretoria cops arrested for robbing foreigners en route to home affairs

Several police officers attached to Pretoria Central Station who allegedly attacked foreign nationals were arrested by the Hawks and other law enforcement on June 1.

The spokesperson for the Priority Crimes Investigations Branch (Hawks), Colonel Katlego Mogale, said a tip had been received from Crime Intelligence about members of Pretoria Central who allegedly robbed foreign nationals while they went to the city’s internal affairs office.

School buses transported students to Kromellenboog Agric Focus Combined in the town of Christiana.
